Introduction

Hey friends and family,

I have been thinking recently about ways to be open-handed with the gifts God has given me for worship leading and song writing. So I thought of the idea of having a blog where I can post new songs, even rough recordings, to make available to the Church and anyone else interested in listening. I'll probably be accompanying these with thoughts and meditations on what has prompted the songs and lyrics. My hope and prayer is that you are encouraged in your own life. If the music isn't your cup of tea, thanks at least for giving it a listen, and be blessed.

About This Blog

My primary goal for this blog is that it be an encouragement to you. In March 2012, I finished my first album, "Glad" (which you can check out on iTunes), but there are a number of other songs that I've written or am currently writing, and I wanted a place where I could share these songs on a more regular basis with anyone who's interested. Most of these songs are very simple recordings done in my bedroom with a mic and a guitar. Some of them I've taken an hour to record, and others I've taken a little more time on, mostly depending on the season of life I find myself in.

You'll notice the playlist to the left. Each of these songs has their own blog entry, with some thoughts about the song, perhaps how/why I wrote it, and the song lyrics (and recently I've been adding chords as well). My desire is not just to post a song to listen to, but a word of encouragement that will make you think!
